Your first visit begins before you walk through the door.
After booking, you’ll receive a detailed intake form covering your health history, current symptoms, sleep patterns, digestion, stress levels, cycle (if applicable), and more. We ask thorough questions because thorough answers allow us to use our time together well.
A few things to keep in mind before you arrive:
- Eat a light meal or snack about two hours beforehand, not too full, not too empty
- Stay well hydrated throughout the day
- Avoid caffeine in the two hours before your visit
- Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing if you can
- Give yourself a few extra minutes to arrive unhurried, so the session can begin with you already at ease
You’re welcomed with tea and space to settle in. Time to let the pace of the day fall away before we begin.
The first part is a conversation.
A thorough review of your intake, your health history, your goals, and what your body has been trying to tell you, in ways you may not yet have words for.
From there, we read your pulse and tongue, traditional diagnostic tools that reveal what lies beneath the surface.
Then, treatment.
If this is your first-time receiving acupuncture, we’ll take it slow and stay with you every step. Needles are fine, sterile, and single use; most patients feel very little upon insertion.
You’ll remain on the table for 25–35 minutes. Many feel deeply relaxed; some even fall asleep.
You leave with a clear treatment plan: what we’re addressing, how often we recommend coming in, and what to expect as your body begins to respond.
Afterward, before you step back into the rest of your day, there’s time to sit with a cup of tea.
And in the days that follow, a personal note arrives with dietary and lifestyle suggestions tailored to what your body needs, so the work continues between sessions.
Healing isn’t one appointment. It’s a rhythm.
Each time you come in, we meet you where you are, listening closely, understanding what your body needs that day. Real change rarely happens all at once. It comes gently, in the quiet consistency of returning to yourself, again and again.

In their own words.
I’ve had the best experience seeing Puja! She has a very special type of energy that is important in this line of work. Her combination of competency, kindness and patience is hard to find in a health care provider. I always feel better after treatments, both emotionally and physically.
Dr Patel is amazing. I’ve been seeing her for my endometriosis and anxiety, and she has gone above and beyond to make me feel heard and listened to. My inflammation and anxiety have gone down tremendously. She is a true healer. I’ll be a patient for life.
What really stood out to me was how quickly she put me at ease. The entire experience felt very intentional and personal rather than just going through the motions. By the end it honestly felt like a weight had been lifted off my body.
Puja is incredibly skilled at moving and restoring energy in the body. I had nausea symptoms that were not going away and within one session my symptoms drastically improved. She is completely present during sessions, which is what makes her treatments so effective.
It’s completely changed my self-regulation — especially my skin and general baseline energy, from struggling to sleep to now sleeping like a baby. Thank you, you have a gift.
